2010 was my son and my first trip up to the boundary waters so we had no idea what was in store for us, everything seemed so daunting, so much to plan and to bring. We wondered which lakes and trails would we select, what species of fish would we fish for, where to camp …on and on. Long story short… we selected PACKSACK! We personally spoke and worked with Gene and Jane to lay out every aspect of our trip. They outfitted us with high quality equipment, developed a paddle route that was adventurous and sensible for a 13yr old and me to navigate and put us on fish, big fish, lots of fish… my son was delighted!! The personal touch the Ott's put into getting it right makes all the difference in the outcome of your trip, it certainly was for ours! We’re going back again this June!

Well, Once again Memorial weekend was a great time at PACKSACK! Great Pike fishing and great bass fishing! Staying in the bunkhouse was fun for all 6 of us. Brought some new people up this year and they were hooked. Will be back again next year if not sooner! Great place, great staff, great fun. If you enjoy the outdoors and what nature has to offer, you won't get it anybetter at Packsack. Thanks again, Jackie, Joni, Jennifer, Emily, Morgan and Greg

Was so excited to pull the website up and see the ice is still in and see that you guys have started a blog, I looked forward to following it throughout the year.

What I love about the BWCAW is the ability to get away from it all. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of life and throwing all of ones cares out with every cast I make into the weed bed trying to hook into a lunker. I love the tranquilty on a still summer evening and falling asleep to the sound of wolves howling or a loon calling. I love knowing that I am spending time in what truly is heaven on earth. Each group you pass is always willing to lend a smile your way, providing the wind has been blowing in their face for a week straight or the rain hasn't been falling for their entire trip. I love all the different colors one will see, I've never seen so many different shades of green.

I have been truly blessed to spend time in the Bdub each summer and the priviledge to work for Gene & Jane for a summer living in the tent. Gene & Jane are wonderful people and I would stand by them and the quality experience they provide any day.
